Qυеѕtіοn bу future: Healthcare costs TRIPLED whіlе Bush wаѕ President – isn’t thаt LESS thаn whаt thеу аrе projecting…?
…fοr thе Healthcare Bill?
Couldn’t іt low cost cialis hаd continued rising WAY MORE thаn thаt, јυѕt lіkе thе entire time Bush wаѕ President?
It wаѕ VERY easy tο insure a whole family іn 1992 fοr 0 a month – I know bесаυѕе I dіd.
And thаt wаѕ wіth 0-0 deducible!
Now average cost fοr insurance wіth similar deductibles іѕ well over 0 (οr more!)
0 x 3 = 0 – gradeschool math anyon
e?
And I’m nοt talking аbουt ,000 deductible plans еіthеr, whісh didn’t even exist іn 1992, аnd fοr gοοd reason.

Nice try, where is your source?
Since 1994 until 2009 health care cost have doubled.
Per-person health care expenditures in the United States have risen 6.5 percent per year since 2000, and 5.5 percent per year on average since 1994. In contrast, consumer inflation has averaged just 2.6 percent per year.
Please show proof that it tripled while Bush was President. Please, oh please to ensure that you aren’t just making something up to try to push your point, which isn’t uncommon among liberals.
I must say, I respect you! You spew out the same rhetoric all of the time. No matter how wrong you are, you don’t give up! Kudos and star to you!!!
Having had health care for all my adult life I know the assertion to be false.
Health care cost escalation is a PREDICTED result of Democrats’ policy demands.
My healthcare costs did not triple. Where are you getting your “facts”?
Support that claim.
so Bush now controls the health care industry!!!! Amazing!!! I guess libs forgot that they controlled congress beginning in 06 and America has declined since then!!! Thankfully we now have 0bama spending TRILLIONS and just like his sheep, continue to blame Bush!!!!
the point is, without the healthcare bill, healthcare costs will not go up as much as WITH the bill. don’t you think that’s more important than Bush?
Bush instituted Medicare Part B and D; the allows the greedy pharmaceutical industry Cart Blance. Its a simple cash cow, at the expense of our nation.
The only thing Bush had to do with health care cost rising was not doing anything about it. If nothing is done about it now it will continue to spiral upwards.
Yes it’s less than projected, we can only trust the people in charge as we cannot do a thing about it but gripe. If Obama does not have the answer then we can vote him out and try someone else, but at least he is trying. E for effort.
Reform was entirely to reverse that, for most people.
You don’t justify spending when you have no money by saying someone else in your family already spent the rent, you save.
Do you feel at all foolish for actually believing Obama and the Democrats in Congress when they say that the largest national health insurance program since the creation of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965 will add “not one dime” to the federal deficit?
In 1965, the House Ways and Means Committee estimated that the hospital insurance program of Medicare – the federal health care program for the elderly and disabled – would cost $9 billion by 1990. The actual cost that year was $67 billion.
In 1967, the House Ways and Means Committee said the entire Medicare program would cost $12 billion in 1990. The actual cost in 1990 was $98 billion.
In 1987, Congress projected that Medicaid – the joint federal-state health care program for the poor – would make special relief payments to hospitals of less than $1 billion in 1992. Actual cost: $17 billion.
HOW is this Bush’s fault? These are ALL programs that DEMOCRATS CREATED?
Shhhh . . .
I thought they went up a hundred billion trillion point five percent?
Duh……………… You should try passing this off with non-thinking liberal pals, those of us who pay these premiums know you are full of crap.
You can’t substantiate that claim.
SOURCE? If you think things were bad with Bush, look out – you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
The cost of the current health care reform bill is about $80-$100 billion per year and in theory is funded.
The cost of the 2003 Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage bill is about $80 billion per year and was unfunded and included a provision that restricted the government from negotiating reduced drug prices. Therefore this bill is giving $80 billion to pharma companies and that money could have been saved if the government would have negotiated prices with the pharma companies.
Conservatives claim that negotiating prices with the pharma companies would have reduced their profits and therefore research. However, that wouldn’t have happened since the pharma companies would have renegotiated drug prices upwards with other countries making them pay their fair share of drug prices. I don’t understand why Americans are paying 100% of pharma profits when only 40% of the pharma companies are headquartered in the US and less than 20% of the drugs are manufactured in the US.
Makes no difference. Shake off the past Bush or Republicans, whatever. That is not what is in our sights today. The problem is running down the road we are traveling, right in front of us. When you look back, there are no solutions; so, beating up Bush or Clinton, does no good. We have to fix, without all the special interests and bribery, what we have in the head lights right now. The current Congress is not listening and the past Congress didn’t listen, the noise will not be silenced this time.
Wow, nice spin!
Health care costs rose significantly over the Bush years, but let’s not forget the most significant reason why they shot up, Tort reform, or lack of it. We should also make note of the fact that it was mainly the democrats in Congress who demonstrated most vigorously against Tort reform.
Yes, if forms go through, costs will rise, but not at the rates they are rising right now. But why would the right accept that was the case?
I am always amazed how many Americans seem not to be aware about the real healthcare issues relying instead on FOX and other sources to spread lies about the healthcare system of the USA and those abroad. I mean, if healthcare in nations with universal coverage is so bad, why do they keep it?
Obama wants to make insurance more available to all and change the system so that it gives the American people value for money [1]. He also wants change so that the insurance companies find it harder to get out of paying for treatment. The system he is proposing looks similar to that which works in Taiwan where private companies are involved in providing healthcare [2].
Obama campaigned on reforming the healthcare system. He said he wanted to make insurance more available and he was elected by the American people to do this [3].
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids both for kids aged under one and those under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [4].
FACT – American insurance companies push up prices and work to stop paying out claims on those they cover [5].
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [6].
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in any western nation with universal health coverage.
If you do not like the policies that Obama was elected to bring in, he can always be voted out of office in 2012. But if you disagree with the facts, please let me know. I am always willing to learn, but please provide proof. None of those who disagree with me have been able to do that so far.
